Heather writes the "Food For Thought" column for The Gloucester Daily Times and North of Boston Media Group. She is a regular contributor to the online magazine The Other Cape. Her work has appeared in Edible Boston, North Shore Magazine, and South Coast Magazine. She is the author of the cookbook "In Cod We Trust, the celebrated cuisine of Coastal Massachusetts" and is included in the anthology "Ethnic American Cooking, recipes for living in a new world."

Heather also helps support Cape Ann Fresh Food, the Gloucester store for local food, including fish. The mother of two daughters, Heather lives with her husband in Rockport, MA.
